Title: The use of guided affective imagery (GAI) to unveil unconscious ethics of corporate leaders
Authors: Prof. Dr. Thomas Kretschmar, Dr. Moritz Senarclens de Grancy
In a research study in 2012-2013, we tested GAI on 32 corporate leaders in Berlin to unveil the unconscious culture of their company. All participants agreed to a relaxation phase. We suggested them to imagine a phantom that represented their company, as an animal or a creature out of a fable or myth, for example. These pictures have been explored in imagination. The participants created a drawing of their phantoms at the end of the exercise.
In this workshop we will first introduce into guided imagery and demonstrate how these pictures have been originated. Then we will present some pictures and discuss associations to these pictures regarding the ethics of that company with the workshop participants.
Finally we will elaborate the subject of psychoanalytic picture interpretation by looking into some theoretical approaches.
